🫶 Feeding Los Cabos Kids Volunteer Excursion – Information
We love to travel, and sometimes it can be even better when we give back. Some of us are planning to spend a morning volunteering with Feeding Los Cabos Kids, a local organization that provides daily meals for children and families in need. If you’d like to join us, it’s a fun and rewarding way to make a positive impact while in Cabo. If you can’t make it that morning, you can still help by donating toward the meal costs — every dollar goes directly toward food, fuel, and supplies that keep the kitchens running. They’ve shared a few dates that are still available, and we’ll confirm one once we know who’s interested. We’ll be picked up at the Riu Santa Fe and driven about 20–25 minutes to one of the community kitchens. Together, we’ll plan a meal, head out to shop for ingredients, then prepare and serve lunch for 50–120 children. The kids love visitors, and if you’d like to bring small items from home (coloring books, toys, nail polish, or sports balls), they’ll be thrilled to receive them. These kitchens are completely volunteer-run by local families and provide much more than food — they bring people together and offer hope in some of Cabo’s most vulnerable neighborhoods.

🎨 San José Art Walk & Bakery Excursion
Spend a laid‑back afternoon exploring the colonial charm of San José del Cabo. Start around 2–3 p.m. with a stroll through downtown’s cobblestone streets, artisan shops, and colorful facades. Stop at Ruba’s Bakery (Panadería de la Costa) — a Michelin‑recognized local favorite — for fresh pastries and a cappuccino. Prefer nature? Walk the scenic San José Estuary trail or relax at Palmilla Beach, known for its calm waters and soft sand.
By evening (Thursdays, Nov–Jun; 5–9 p.m.) the town comes alive. The Art Walk transforms the area around Plaza Mijares into a vibrant open‑air gallery. Local artists line the streets, galleries stay open late, and live music fills the air. It’s festive, free, and full of creative energy — with everything from paintings and sculpture to handmade jewelry and textiles.
Wrap up with dinner at Abby’s Place, just steps from the action. It’s casual, affordable, and famous for coconut shrimp and fresh ceviche.
